A great beach hat; I own two! Fits snug so the wind won’t take it. Perfect for windy days and boating. Strong material lasts and lasts, and color stays bright through the Florida summer. The brim is why I chose it- keeps sun completely off my face and neck.

This is a great hat for those of us who need/want protection from the sun–wide brim for good protection, foldable, and functional. What more can you ask for? I have another one from San Diego Hat CO, which I like as well, but so nice that this one has the adjustable chin strap. Wore it this weekend to a track meet, and loved that it was so easy to fold up and put in my bag when not needed, and chin strap was there for when the wind picked up. I have a “normal” size head, and the medium fits perfectly.

Check the dimensions — it has a very wide brim and it’s kind of floppy. Great if that’s what you’re looking for, but I feel like an old lady in it.

The medium size fits perfectly and the red color is smashing!! Wearing a lot of black, it is great for me, and stays on in the fierce beach winds here. i protects me from the evil sun = photoageing: wrinkles and brown spots (+ sunscreen, of course!) Also, I don’t think I “look like an old lady”, as I get so many compliments from men as young as 20, and up to 90, plus from women, too!!

This is the best sun hat ever. Broad brim really protects my whole face no matter wat. The brim is very adjustable but does not get bent away in the wind. It is big enough, (a medium) to pile my long hair into and has a great tie to hold it in place. Squishable for packing and then regains its shape

I have worn my Sunday Afternoon Beach hat on every ocean paddle and hike and trip for the past 5 years! It is maybe my favorite gear! I especially love how you can shape the brim, with one hand in an instant, to whatever you need at any moment to keep the sun out of your eyes yet still see clearly. I love the drawstring cord so that it stays put in the wind! After 5 years of rough conditions it still looks like new too! I just rinse the salt water off and Let it dry. Everyone compliments me on it too- so it’s not only super helpful in protecting my eyes and face, it’s flattering as well! Win win! I have several other sun hats and never wear them. This hat is THE BEST EVER! In fact, I came to this site to order another just in case knowing I’d be lost without it and thought I’d let you all know THIS IS THE HAT YOU WANT!

What else can I say!! So very pleased with my new sun hat! The color is vivid & goes with everything! I am especially thrilled with the sturdy chin slide to keep my hat on! This hat will definitely protect you from the sun but it is pretty stylish too. First time I wore it I was complimented. I bought the Turquoise. The color is very vibrant, which pleases me. I bought the small/medium but the label reads medium. It still works because the brim tightness can be adjusted and it is comfortable. The material is rigid enough to hold shape. I have not packed it yet so that will be an important criteria in my satisfaction. I have smushed it and it rebounds nicely. I am happy with my purchase.

The hat runs LARGE. Order a smaller size. I only wish it had been available in size small.

These hats are the best sun hats for Florida because you can adjust the brim (pull it down over the side of your face the sun is hitting). They can be dressed up or down and look fabulous. I have almost every color. Holding out for a khaki colored because mine is pretty worn. Bring back khaki color, and I’ll buy it! Also, if your hat is too big, you can hand-sew a cushy rim to the inside. I have also changed out the bands and lanyards in all of my hats. I like leather or different shades of ribbon and beads. Very fun.
