As long as you know your size in Sunday Afternoons hats, then purchasing one that fits well is easy. This hat is truly wonderful for keeping the sun off your face and does not look as dorky as other extra wide-brim sun hats. I love the pale gray color and the fact that the hat can fold in half, making it easy to pack and transport. This IS a large hat (brim is seriously wide and sticks out). But, this is exactly what I need when I go walking outside or garden. (This wouldn’t be the best hat to drive in a car or wear to a sporting event because the brim would be bothersome.)

Perfect hat for my extra large head!! Please never stop making these. This is my second purchase of this hat (two different colors this time) and it is the only sun protection I can find that fits my very big head! Super comfortable, easily packable, and love that it has a tie to keep it secure in windy situations! Would definitely buy more colors if you made them! But really excited about the blue!

Excellent hat particulatly for those of us with extra large heads! Love all the features of this hat. That the fit is adjustable, there’s a tie for windy days, ventilation, and easily packable!! I’ve purchased a different color of this hat in the past, and as a woman who has an impossible time finding hats for my 25″ head, I’m so glad to find these. Large-headed people/women need sun protection, too! Please never stop making these!

My Latitude Hat has been through two summers with LOTS of wear time and is still very comfortable and is holding its shape nicely. I wear it all the time while outside. I am ordering a replacement this year only because I ordered the lightest color before it has gotten grease stained (I work a lot on farm equipment) and it looks a bit dirty to wear to nice functions. Its replacement will also be the lightest color because lighter colors are cooler. This replaced a Tilley that also wore well for material and comfort, but the Tilley only provided a fraction of the sun protection and is a lot hotter on my head. Also, the Tilley brim flopped up too easily when driving tractors and the like…very annoying and distracting. The brim on the Latitude holds its shape well. It is large, so I do sometimes use the chin strap to keep the hat in place in higher winds or when on an open machine going down the road. My only wish is that I could somehow wear my ear protection (earmuffs with music) while wearing my Latitude and doing noisy jobs. I have to wear ear plugs…and miss the music. Otherwise, A+ all the way! Well, there is the issue of not made in America. My first Latitude was made in Vietnam.

This hat is perfect sun protection!!! The brim folds nicely for travel – a big plus. If it were offered in bright pretty colors, I’d consider it a fashion accessory requirement for any fun in the sun.

Great for shade. Will be good for the beach. Only problem is when wearing it with backpack. Brim is stiff and hits backpack when I look up. Can’t look up without knocking hat off.

This hat is well constructed. The wide brim will protect my head, face and neck from the sun. I am fair complected. My dermatologist advised me to keep the sun from my face so I don’t get sun spots on my face. This hat will work perfectly! I like the “blue” color!

I love the sturdy brim on this hat and feel protected from the sun’s penetrating rays. Being able to fold the brim in half without harming it means it travels yet still looks good. What sold me though was being able to use the sunglass sleeves perched on top. Never again will I have to worry about scratching or loosing sun glasses when I take them off and lay they somewhere. A real winner of a hat

For someone who has never been a “hat person” I have to say this is a great hat for protecting you from the sun! I love all the special featuresthe wide brim, the adjustable drawstring, the slots for keeping your sunglasses safe and accessible. All in all, it’s a winner and I would recommend this hat and this website if you are looking for something to provide with with great sun protection while offering many small but mighty features!

Love! Love! Love! the Latitude hat. I bought this for my husband who is always outside and needs protection from the sun. This hat is light weight, and the brim is wide for the sun protection. Also the brim is “firm” enough that it doesn’t droop around your ears. Always good to have the chin strap, especially for windy days! If you don’t need them, tuck it in the hat. Sunday Afternoon is the only place I purchase sun hats. I can depend on the quality and style we like and the service is excellent.

Awesome hat! As a guy with a big head (23.5″) I was seriously happy to find a hat that wouldn’t cut off circulation to the top of my head. XL fits comfortably- good enough to stay put on a calm day; I use the strap if there’s a breeze.

Overall the Sunday Afternoon Latitude hat is a beautiful hat, well made with thoughtful details. But for me, the 4 inch brim was too much. Decided to exchange it for the Sunday Afternoon Cruiser hat with the 3 inch brim.

I have a super massive head and it’s extremely difficult to find a hat that fits comfortably. I happened to find the XL size at sportsman’s warehouse and was shocked to find it fits my head and isn’t tight at all. It’s literally the perfect size. I love it so much, I’m buying another one in a different color just in case they quit making them.

I used to own an Oyster farm on Long Island and wore this hat every day on the boat. I have one at our place in Florida and one for up here. The latitude hat by far is the absolute best hat for staying out of the sun I’ve worn. I tried quite a few other ones before the latitude and nothing was as light and cool as yours! I can’t say enough for the quality this hat is amazing. When your in the sun “all day” this hat will protect you like none other!
