Super awesome hat with excellent features like the ponytail hole! Love that these are adjustable. Super lightweight and dries very quickly. Perfect for going to the pool, hiking, yard work, really anything. I’d imagine it’s great out on a boat too bc you can make it right enough the wind doesn’t take it off. We have the children’s hats for our boys and I couldn’t have better things to say about those if I tried they last for years bc they are adjustable sizing and so I decided I need one too! So thankful they got a nice navy color this year!

Ordered this hat to help protect my ears from the sun. Wore it kayaking last weekend and it worked great. It was windy, but with the chin strap secured, it stayed in place. Love it so much am ordering another!

Love that it is light weight on my head. Ponytail hole is perfect for summer. Photo color seemed more charcoal, but to my delight, it was navy blue! Can’t wait to use it in the fall too!

I love this hat!! It is very light weight and keeps the sun off of my face, ears and neck. The bonus is the adjustable neck cord to keep it from blowing off.

The fit is good, with a tie in case of heavy winds. I have not used it yet, but I like that it will cover my neck for a walk on the beach.

This hat in size m/L fit fine, and has a string to attach in case of a windy day. Not the cutest ever, but looks ok and will serve its purpose. I purchased one in black, and one in what I thought would be white, but was actually more of a dirty off white looking color that I did not find to be attractive. I kept the black one for beach trips and times when I want to be able to have instant head and neck coverage. The fact that it is crushable is a huge bonus, as I lost an awesome, new hat that was un-crushable when carrying it on a plane, and setting it on top of the luggage. Lesson learned. It slipped off and was forgotten- hopefully some flight attendant is enjoying it and feeling very lucky.

I bought this hat in June 2018 because we were planning several outdoor adventures on a trip to Southern California. I was initially hesitant because of the black fabric which I anticipated would be hot in the sun. However, it stayed surprisingly cool. My hair fits nicely through the ponytail opening and keeps it off my neck. I’ve worn this fairly consistently since it’s purchase. It’s going on multiple trips and even comes in handy when I’m in my backyard or walking around the neighborhood. And it still looks brand new. Instant personal shade. Highly recommended!

Ok at this point Sunday Afternoons should just hire me as a brand ambassador because I never shut up about how much I love being under this hat when it’s hot out! The little climate it creates around my head is cool, ventilated, and shady, even when it’s over 100 degrees outside. I got a second hat (ultra adventure) so I can fold it up and leave it in my rescue lack (volunteer SAR), because it is so nice to have these reliable, shady, sun-protective hats available to me whatever my adventure is. I specifically chose the Shade Goddess for the open design in the back, which allows me to pull my ponytail through. The large front brim and generous neck cape provide excellent shade for my face and neck. The hat is airy enough to not feel sweaty and does a great job of holding its shape, plus it is adjustable for fit. This is such a versatile hat; I wear it lounging in the pool, doing yardwork, walking at my favorite botanical gardens, and other daytime outdoor activities. I was so happy with my first purchase, that I ordered a second one to keep in my car so it’s always on hand when I’m on the go. The two colors I purchased are purple larkspur (a pretty periwinkle blue) and saltwater (a lovely muted aqua). I highly recommend the Shade Goddess!

I have 5 (FIVE!) of these hats, that’s how much I love them! I bought the black one originally a year or so ago, and then purchased several others over time. They are the best hats and such pretty colors, too! I walk a lot, and this hat keeps me sun safe. In addition to wearing sunblock, this hat covers my face with the wide brim, and my neck with the long flap in the back, protecting me from sunburn since I am very fair. I will not purchase a hat that I can’t secure under my chin, and this one does, so it doesn’t blow off on windy days. I can’t recommend this hat highly enough!
