Solid Rain Hat! I I really like the folding brim, because I can just put it in a pocket or pack when I don’t need Rain or sun protection. Once the sun peeks out or the rain start it’s quick and easy to deploy.

Good sun and rain protection. Reflective details are a plus for low light.
If its really windy the neck cape will flip up. Hasn’t been a problem yet, but is annoying.

Bought this after I saw it featured in Backpacker Mag. Haven’t given it much use yet, but it fits good with good size adjustablity and is pretty lightweight.

This hat works great for both my wife and I. We purchased two before heading to Costa Rica. 7 days of rain and the hat performed great. One of our tour guides wanted one for himself. Thumbs up.

Purchased this item for 14 day trip to Italy ~ Perfect for Rome, Florence, Venice with Road Scholar. Best investment for both rain, and sun while walking, and riding vaporetto. Will be cherished for more trips to come. Folds neatly into backpack, too!

You could not make a better hat for fishing in the rain. It keeps me 100% dry and not to hot like other plastic/rubber style hats. I would recommend to others.

I have a few Adventure Hats, so thought I would try the Ultra. I like that it folds down, and the glasses holder is great. But honestly, I usually pull out the Adventure Hat most days.

Best hat in the world . I work outdoors in the P.N.W. every day ,rain or shine and this hat does it all !

I really love my hat. I used it all summer long, and it kept me out of the sun and dry. The only downside is that the brim is wide enough that I can’t see what’s above me–and I’ve run into a couple of limbs as a result. However, I can’t really go with a shorter brim–so it’s just an inherent trade-off. It’s foldable, however, and packs into my backpack without taking up space or adding weight. A truly great hat! Wish there was a vented waterproof version as well, for the hottest days!

A perfect hat for the PNW. It’s light, foldable and protects my head and neck while providing a full brim over my eyes and allowing for freedom of movement. No more having my head stuck in a rain jacket hood. My husband and I each got one for an Alaska trip and the Storm Hat was absolutely perfect for the wind and rain we encountered during Zodiac excursions. I should probably get one to keep in the car.

I love this hat. It fits, it’s lightweight–great for travel–it looks good, and it works. With hoods, my glasses get spotted in the rain and I cannot always keep them wiped off. This hat is well made and provides great coverage. I’m so glad I ordered it.

I live in Florida and need to watch the blazing sun on my face. This hat covers face and neck very well, stays on with the wind…you can adjust the hat with a buckle on the back. The material is very light but sturdy…dries quickly with a quick rinse after wearing or I soak in Woolite for a few minutes.

Fits well with the adjustable chin strap and protects neck and face from the sun.

I got it two months ago. So satisfying with it, the bim its perfect for so many different activities and the most important thing is, I can fold it and keep it in my back pack.

This hat is the perfect one for boating; it is lightweight, adjustable, has a chin tie and neck drape with a stiff bill that doesn’t blow back in the wind. Best boating hat yet, because even motoring in a stiff breeze, it stays on & protects your face & neck.

Recently I wore my storm hat on a rainy day to go shopping. It started pouring buckets just as I was leaving the store. As the other shoppers huddled up by the door waiting for the rain to stop, I walked on out. My face and head stayed totally dry. Meanwhile the hat is still lightweight, comfy, and protects against the sun like my standard Adventure Hat.

Like my other Adventure Hats, the fit and comfort is the best of all the brands I own. Have not been able to try it in the rain yet, but I know I will love it when the need arises.

I liked my hat so much, my husband got one too. I got it for hiking in the rain when I don’t want to overheat or have my vision and hearing restricted with the hood of my raincoat. I can still put a thin hat under it if I get cold. The back flap covers my rain hood so no water runs down my neck yet allows ventilation. The muted blue color goes with all my jackets.

Quality product, easy website, fast delivery & great price!

This adjustable style of hat fits my head no matter whether I wear my hair up, (adding bulk), or down in a braid. It is comfortable in either situation. This Storm version is great in the rain. The brim is broad enough and sloped such that water does not hit my glasses even when I am moving quickly. I find it perfect for all day wear in quirky spring weather. In the morning when it’s cold, the longer sides protect my ears, yet it is still comfortable to wear in the afternoon sun and then continues performing well when the wind picks up and a rainstorm rolls through. I haven’t even mentioned the clever reverse split brim design which allows the hat to be packed flat but doesn’t compromise the waterproofing. I find this hat amazingly versatile and well worth purchasing.

I bought this to replace my beloved Offshore Water hat that was somehow lost and is now discontinued. While it’s not been out on the water yet, the hat looks great and is very adjustable. I’m hoping the wider brim doesn’t catch the wind, and will see if the string tie works as well and is as comfortable as the chin strap. Sunday Afternoons are the best!
Bobby L –
Love the hat and purchased because of the waterproof feature. However, wanting the best of all worlds, would prefer the brim and cape be expanded such as it with the derma safe hats; want to protect from both the wet elements and that sun thing!

I bought one in Shadow and lost it and am upset that it’s out of stock everywhere. It was the perfect hat for sun and rain. It was practically brand new and I miss it every time I need a hat. Please produce more of these!!
MrD P –
I am a photographer and was given the Ultra Adventure Storm Hat as a gift. I have been unable to wear a brimmed hat while doing photography because the brim would interfere with me getting to look threw the viewfinder. Initially unknowingly that the purpose of the split brim was for easy fold up for storage. I would fold it up while wearing it and would be able to look through the viewfinder without any obstructions while taking my photos. A feature that makes it work so well for me that I ordered a second one as a back up

I am a truck driver running about 500 miles with multiple drop/hook stops, and this is far and away the best hat I’ve ever used in the rain.
